Random Act of Kindness

Try this...

Today, while you're out and about during your daily adventures, display a Random Act of Kindness for someone you don't know. That's it, just display a single act of random kindness for someone you don't know, yet. If this is something you already do then display an additional act of kindness, or a third or a fourth. This act of goodness can be done anywhere and for anyone that you don't already know. Maybe it will be for an unknown co-worker or a stranger at the local grocery store. Maybe you'll choose to be kind to someone during a brief encounter at the gas station or coffee house, it's completely up to you. Maybe you won't even set out to do this act at a particular time and you'll recognize it mid-act or maybe you won't even realize it until the person acknowledges the kindness with an appreciative "thank you." Maybe you'll even surprise yourself with how many acts of kindness you can show in a single day.

See what happens and feel free to comment.

The Moment

We celebrate our triumphs and successes by building ornate monuments, commissioning beautiful portraits, and taking timeless photographs. It is important to us that we remember these milestones. Those around us often use these trophies to put merit to our accomplishments. As others may only remember the ceremony and tend to focus solely on the spoils, let us remember the trials and tribulations faced along the way and appreciate our true crowning achievements. It was these events that proved our strength, molded our willpower, and solidified our determination to achieve excellence.

In these moments we recognized our own greatness.

Many thanks to the Magnolia Project staff and girls

This evening I had the opportunity to speak to the staff and a few of the girls from the Hazleton Chapter of the Magnolia Project, a group organized by Volunteers of America. It was very empowering and the staff was extremely warm and an overall wonderful group of women.

My sincerest thanks goes out to the staff for welcoming me tonight.

If you know a young woman who may be interested in learning leadership skills and being a positive member of the community, I highly recommend becoming involved in this group.

You can visit their FB page here for more information.

Are you the person...

Are you the person that you would like to meet walking down the street?
